Notice on the Release of the "Guidelines for Carbon Footprint Accounting of Tire Products"
Date:2026/4/27
To support the implementation of the Action Plan for Carbon Peaking by 2030 and accelerate the development of a carbon footprint management system, the China Rubber Industry Association (CRIA) initiated the Carbon Footprint Research Project for Tire Products in 2024. The project aims to promote green and low-carbon supply chains and contribute to the achievement of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.
After more than two years of research and multiple rounds of expert discussions, the project team has completed the Guidelines for Carbon Footprint Calculation of Tire Products. The guidelines define the scope and methodology for calculating product carbon footprints, standardize quantification and information exchange practices, and outline practical pathways for reducing carbon emissions across the industry.
The guidelines have now been officially released. We are pleased to share them for your reference.
